BURGES BAND FESTIVAL 2019

Dear Fellow Band Directors,
 
The TENTH Annual Burges Band Festival will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019. Please scroll down for the entry form.  You may perform for ratings or for comments only. We will use music from past years UIL Sight reading lists- you may choose to sight read for comments only if that works best for your band.  We are very flexible and we will work with you to make your participation an excellent educational experience for your students and for you. The festival is a great warm up for MS & HS UIL and for EPISD Middle School contests.
The entry fee is $220 and will include a professional recording, a trophy (participation or rating) constructive comments for both concert performance and sight reading and a video recording of you and your group during the explanation and performance of the sight reading portion of the festival. The entry deadline is February 20 and the Performance schedule will be posted and sent to participating schools on February 21. El Paso ISD schools – Fine Arts will cover the cost of buses.
